Rare Victorian forage cap badge with 2 loops to reverse. A good die-stamped brass example in very good condition. Large Bath style cross bearing a crowned circular strap, '1st Hants Battalion', in the centre the county rose. With HQ in Winchester, in 1885 became the 1st Volunteer Battalion.
