Woven cloth formation sign of the slipover type. Fought in the Western Desert as 6th Division then in 1941 when fighting with the Australians at Tobruk 'became' the 70th Infantry Division in an attempt to fool the Germans. When too far east and became part of the Chindits. Ref Cole p37 read more

Scarce woven on felt formation sign. Comprised half Americans and half Canadians. Took La Difensa in Italy within 2 hours after a two night climb. The Germans considered it unassailable.
