Battle dress blouse with insignia to a Squadron Leader and printed RAF Regiment shoulder titles. Maker's label from Lighthouse Clothing of Leeds 1941 with broad arrow mark. Size 11. Formed 1942. Parachute squadrons were formed to assist in capturing airfields. They had reccie units with Humber and Morris cars. In 1944 25,000 officers and men transferred to the army due to heavy losses. The RAF Regiment fought as field, armoured car and LAA squadrons in North Africa, the Middle East, Italy, the Balkans, North West Europe and the Arakan in Burma. Two small moth nips

Battle dress blouse with broad arrow mark and label to Royal Observer Corps with maker's name H.Learing & Co.Ltd. Complete with pair of printed cloth Seaborne titles, Royal Observer Corps printed breast badge (ladies), all Observer buttons present, medal ribbons and service stripes. Written name inside Sycamore and size 8.
Personnel went in on D Day on British landing ships, Infantry and Motor Transport ships wearing this uniform. To cover legal and admin they enlisted in the RN for one month with an option to serve a second. This was done because they were civilians.They had the rank of Petty Officer and were paid a special rate of £1 a day

Flight officer's tunic and trousers by Moss Bros of Covent Garden. Both pieces with labels. Tunic number 732816 254/CCT. Observer's half brevet with medal ribbons, DFM, 1935-45 Air Crew Europe with rose defence medal. Trousers inscribed with Pt CM Gibbs BE 22 8/45. They came with the tunic and are almost certainly a marriage. Very good condition with no moth or staining
