1st / 9th Hants. Cyclist Battalion

Very rare woven cloth formation sign. In October 1918 the battalion was sent to Serbia and stayed until November 1919. It was serving as part of the little known British/Canadian intervention in the post-revolutionary Russian Civil War. The sign is a white five pointed star on a black square.
