4th Armoured Brigade

Facing pair of woven cloth formation signs. A black jerboa ('desert rat'), with white eye, its tail curled over its back, on a white ground. The badge is clearly a variation on the famous desert rat as worn by its original parent formation, the 7th Armoured Division. Served in the Middle East with the Eighth Army and in North West Europe as part of the 21st Army Group. Ref Cole p123
