Complete and boxed Mark IV flying goggles. Maker's name Levers Optical Co. Ltd. Issued to H. Machan of 18 Moorland View, Featherstone, Pontefract. Black painted pressed brass frame. Leather nose piece and chamois backing are in good order. Rubber pads have gone hard. All straps are good. The clear lenses have delamination. The anti-glare flipshield with spring mechanism is broken away on one hinge. The box contains a leather wallet with all the accessories, a spare pair of clear lenses (damaged), a full set of helmet plates, poppers/rivets for attachment to B or C type helmets. Leather/chamois forehead strip. A great Battle of Britain period item. The Mark IV are a rare pair of goggles
