Bronze lapel badge with pin to reverse. Requested in 1940 for voluntary workers to the War Office. Numbered 199881 with maker's name Gaunt of London. Ref Mills Doing Their Bit p164 R19. This was the WWI badge. Eventually a badge was approved with changes including no crown which is R20 in the book
