72nd Independent Infantry Brigade

Woven cloth formation sign. Formed in 1941 in Northern Ireland. On 1st June Brigade HQ was redesignated 5th Parachute Brigade. In charge of internal security in India 1946-7. A new 72nd Brigade was formed in India in 1948. Other than the number they had no connection. Slightly grubby. Information from the Imperial War Museum and Bruno Boulanger p245 C711
