Woven cloth formation sign. Landed in Normandy on Sword Beach on the 14th June 1944. Fought in Operation Epsom to seize the city of Caen, and in major Anglo-Canadian offensive in Normandy. Later in Belgium and the Netherlands. Ref Morris Part 1 p18
