Officer's silver plated helmet plate with 2 of 3 loops remaining to reverse, and centre set on a black velvet ground. Became 2nd VB in June 1883 and then 8th Territorial Battalion in 1908. This plate was worn 1883 to 1902. Ref Westlake RVs p162
