Officer's silver plated helmet plate with 3 loops to reverse. Originally formed in 1859. In 1860 it was permitted to use the name of its headquarters (Great Yarmouth). Consolidated as the 4th Norfolk Rifle Volunteer Corps in 1872. The title was changed in 1885 to 4th Volunteer Battalion. This plate was worn from 1885 to 1901. Silver plate is worn to the centre with a bugle set on a green backing
