3rd Carpathian Division (Polish)

Silk formation sign woven onto a card backing. Raised in 1942 in Qastina in Palestine. Fought with distinction in the Western Desert and Italy. They were present at Monte Cassino. Fir tree adopted to represent the forest-covered Carpathian Mountains. White and red background. A bit grubby. Ref Cole p164
