16th Lancers

Set of 4 brass and silver plated menu holders in the form of crossed lances. Wear to silver plate. Hinged bracket to stands. Nicely made unusual things. One of the lance pennons is engraved to the rear 'June 20th 1865 -1890'. The regiment served in India 1865-76 and again 1890-99. Did the owner go on both occasions?
