2nd Armoured Car RAF

White metal arm badge with 2 blades to reverse. Formed in 1922 by the RAF for the defence of Iran, Transjordan and Kuwait. Air power alone was insufficient so a hard hitting mobile ground force was formed. No. 2 company looked after Transjordan. Shortly after renamed Iraq Levies under RAF control. Remained under RAF control until 1955
