Brass Shako plate with 2 loops to reverse. Worn 1861-64 in brass on grey kepi. Continued in wear on busby and undress cap up to 1878 in blackened brass. Eventually became part of the South Wales Borderers. Scroll reads 'Gwell angau na gwarth'. Ref K&K Vol1 1773
