SAS Regt. Malayan Scouts

Very rare embroidered cloth shoulder title. Formed for the Malayan Emergency and trained by Major 'Mad Mike' Calvert, one of Wingate's Burma veterans, and Johnny Cooper one of 'Stirling's Originals'. Took part in several operations including Helsby and Hive culminating in 'Operation Sweep' in 1958. Ref Special Forces Insignia James Short
