Dumbartonshire Rifle Volunteers pre 1908

Officer's silver gilt shoulder belt plate with 2 studs and 1 hook to reverse (1 hook missing). St. Andrew's cross with St. Andrew and scroll above 'Fortitudo et Fidelitas' in gilt. Gilt scroll below states 'Dumbartonshire Volunteers'. Some wear to gilt but overall very good condition. Became 9th Battalion Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders in 1908
