Regular's field service cap badge in brass with 2 loops to reverse. Worn in 1890s after the change from glengarry to field service. One of the few regiments that actually produced a badge specifically for this purpose, most used a collar. Rubbing to body of tiger. Ref Churchill p161 1001 for notes on this badge
