Sleeve badge hallmarked 1899 Birmingham with 2 silver loops to reverse. Front mark F/S with hallmarks. Back mark Firmin London. The Prussian eagle was adopted by the Regt. in 1798 when they became the 14th or Duchess of York's Own Regt. of Light Dragoons in honour of HRH Fredrica Charlotte Ulrica Catherine Princess Royal of Prussia who had married the Duke of York in 1791.
