Rare unofficial woven cloth shoulder title. Yellow on dark black. Uniform removed example. This title was worn unofficially in the early years of WWII by the 11th Battalion Hampshire Regiment as it was formed from the Royal Militia Island of Jersey, the majority of whose members left the island to come to Britain before the German occupation. It is recorded worn in September 1941 but like most such unofficial titles was finally banned when red and white titles were introduced in 1943
