Australian Flying Corps

Extremely rare woven cloth shoulder title of the slipover type. Formed in WWI the only British Dominion to raise a flying corps for service in that war. Organised as a corps of the AIF. Usually served separately under orders from the British Royal Flying Corps. No.1 Squadron left Australia for the Middle East and Mesopotamia. Eventually had 4 squadrons and fought on the Western Front
